Milan is the city of fashion, and you will find many exclusive designer boutiques here. The best area for shopping among the rich and famous is the Quadrilatero d’Oro, or Golden Square. It is located between the streets Via Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni, Via della Spiga and Via Sant’Andrea. The shops are also popular with international movie stars and other celebrities, so who knows, you might spot another celebrity!


Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: When you think of Milan, this is probably one of the images that comes to mind. This shopping passage right next to Milan’s famous duomo is a household name in the city. You will find high-end designers, such as Louis Vuitton. Around the holidays there is a beautiful large Christmas tree in the passage that is completely covered with Swarovski decorations.

Quadrilatero Della Moda: Literally translated, this means the fashion square. The beating fashion heart of the city that consists of the streets: ‘Via Monte Napoleone’, ‘Via Alessandro Manzoni’, ‘Via della Spiga’ and ‘Corso Venezia’. If you like beautiful designer brands, this is the place to shop. Here you will find the stores of Gucci, Chanel, Acqua di Parma, Valentino, Prada and D&G.

Corso di Porta Ticinese: Are designer brands not quite your thing? Then go to Corso di Porta Ticinese. This street is also compared by the Milanese with Portobello Road in London. You will find a jumble of local designers, tattoo shops, small boutiques and vintage shops.

Corso Buenos Aires: If you just want to go to shops like &Other Stories and ZARA, you have to be near Corso Buenos Aires. Here you will find well-known affordable brands and also a number of large department stores, such as La Rinascente’s.

In any case, there are several beautiful outlet centers in Italy, but the Sarravalle is the best if you ask me.
